Once again this year we have an exciting and varied activity programme for all kids aged 6 years and over. Fun all round! Here you will find the best family attractions in a mountain village packed with animals.
Please register with the tourist office by 5:00 p.m. a day in advance either by telephone on +43 6584 20388 40 or by emailing: muehlbach@hochkoenig.at. Late registrations can no longer be accepted! Programme and dates are subject to change. We accept no liability for accidents. Participation is limited to 30 children.
EXPERIENCE AN ALPINE PASTURE AT DIENTALM
Mould your own butter then pet the cats, rabbits, goats and lots of other animals. We then take the hiking bus back to the petting zoo at the village mill, where we spend some time at the large natural playground with rope slide, marmot burrow and plenty of other treats!

CHILDREN’S CLIMBING
Kids who love getting out into nature will have a great time climbing giant rock faces under the watchful guidance of our climbing experts! This is followed by a tasty picnic.

Farm day in the Pronebengut
In addition to cows, ponies, rabbits, guinea pigs, goats, cats and Ramses the farm dog, Kniegut Farm is also home to some more exotic creatures. You can meet, feed and pet Hera and Pako the alpacas. What does an alpaca eat? How does an alpaca live? Where do they come from and what do they feel like? Find out this and much more at Kniegut Farm.

Wednesdays in the Alpine Village for Animals
We take the cable car to TONI’S ALPINE PLAYGROUND on the Karbachalm at an altitude of 1,500 metres. Toni’s playground features a water play area, sandpit, rope slides, roundabouts, and much more.
Dear PARENTS: On request, a hot lunch can be provided for children in the quaint Karbachalm lodge at a cost of €5.00 per child. Please register for lunch by 4:30 pm on Tuesday. If you don’t have a Hochkönig Card, the return trip on the cable car costs €6.60 per child. Please ensure your child brings enough money.

Fishing & archery
It’s time for the kids to try to reel in a big one! During an adventure-filled day at the Arthurhaus they can try their luck at fishing, and even take some fish home with them (around €10 per kilo). Or they can also try 3D archery parcours, with expert guidance from Manuel. Hot lunch is available for children at the Arthurhaus Mountain Hotel. (Please allow €5.50 per child). At 2:15 pm we take the hiking bus to Kniegut Farm, from where we head back down into the valley on foot.

Children from the village should be collected from the Arthurhaus area at 2:00 p.m.

Children staying at a family partner business can participate in the events for free. Fees for those not staying at a family partner business are as follows:

Dear parents, please note... We’ll be spending a lot of time outside, so please don’t forget to provide sun protection (sun cream, sunglasses, cap), and to pack a spare T-shirt, jumper and raincoat. Please notify us of any allergies or illnesses, and ensure that your kids are prepared accordingly (allergy
medication, other medicines, etc.).
Please ensure that your child carries a card with your telephone number for use in emergencies.
Dear parents,

Lots of exercise is thirsty work, so please always
- Pack a water bottle in your child’s backpack.

In the case of emergencies, please give your child a card stating your phone number, or leave your phone number with the tourist office.
