In summer, the Hochkönig is a veritable El Dorado for hiking and climbing fans. 340 kilometres of clearly marked hiking trails, with all levels of difficulty represented, serve as your gateway to the mysteriously beautiful and myth-enshrouded mountain massif that surrounds our region.

The municipalities of Maria Alm, Dienten and Mühlbach are criss-crossed with a well-maintained and perfectly signposted network of hiking trails to suit all tastes. Hiking the Königsweg Trail, a majestic 73-km route, is a truly special experience.
